Baltimore, MD - May 27, 2025 - An Iranian national pleaded guilty Tuesday to participating in an international ransomware and extortion scheme involving the Robbinhood ransomware that struck U.S. cities, including Baltimore.
Baltimore City officials discovered malware in 2019 that prompted email, phones and computers to be shut down, which impacted many city services.
Sina Gholinejad, 37, and his co-conspirators compromised the computer networks of cities, corporations, health care organizations and other entities around the United States, according to court documents and statements made in court.

A Dedication Ceremony Was Held at Ramot Mall in Jerusalem for the New “Lehachayot” Kindness Club
Jerusalem, Israel - May 26, 2025 - At the Ramot Mall in Jerusalem, a dedication ceremony was held for the new Kindness Club of the “Lehachayot” organization – a special, thoughtfully designed space dedicated to the well-being of children with special needs and their families. The initiative was spearheaded by the energetic Chabad community activist, Rabbi Mendy Lebel.
The club was inaugurated by the Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem, Rabbi Shlomo Moshe Amar, and former Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi David Lau.
Rabbi Lebel founded the “Beit Halomotai” center for individuals with special needs, was the driving force behind the project.

Baltimore, MD - May 27, 2025 - The Bowleys Quarters neighborhood is abuzz over annoying little bugs.
The bugs, called midges, were seen snared in spiderwebs on light posts at a Middle River marina. The aquatic flies swarm and breed near water and marshy areas.
Baltimore County Councilman David Marks, R-District 5, told 11 News that residents are frustrated because in the evening hours the bugs just take over.

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) said it has begun distributing food aid in the Gaza Strip, with additional aid trucks scheduled to arrive on Tuesday.
