Baltimore, MD - July 12, 2023 -  According to a report by WalletHub, Maryland ranks 45th among U.S. states in terms of at-risk youth, reports FOX45. The report assessed 15 key indicators of youth risk to determine how well young Americans are faring compared to others in the same age group. The indicators included factors such as the percentage of disconnected youth, youth without a high school diploma, overweight and obese youth, youth drug users, youth labor force participation rate, youth poverty rate, and the percentage of homeless youth. Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Utah, and Virginia were identified as states with the least at-risk youth, while Louisiana, Mississippi, West Virginia, Alaska, and New Mexico were found to have the most at-risk youth.
