Description

#TogetherWeRemember is a citizen-led movement to end and prevent genocide and mass atrocities. The JMM will be supporting this project with thousands of others worldwide to build the first digital memorial to commemorate the victims of genocide and celebrate the heroes who fought against it. We will hold a name-reading in the Lloyd Street Synagogue and share our community’s experience live on social media with the hashtag #TogetherWeRemember. The movement hopes to ignite an annual global tradition in which communities are united in solidarity, representing every race and religion, giving voice to victims of genocide past and present, and inspiring collective action for justice, memory, and peace. The Occasional Symphony will kick off the program with a short performance! To make this event a success we need your help! Please register for a ten minute slot to read names by emailing Trillion at tattwood@jewishmuseummd.org . We are thrilled to announce that Delegate Shelly Hettleman and Delegate Dana Stein have already registered to participate – sign up to join them! Please be aware this program will take place in the Lloyd Street Synagogue.
