A Shabbat of Comfort
This past Shabbat in Jerusalem, I joined a gathering that words alone can barely capture. More than 50 bereaved families—bound not by choice but by tragedy—were invited by the "Menucha V'Yeshua" organization to find solace and strength in each other’s company. Among them were mothers, fathers, siblings, and children.
I hadn’t known Liz Chalfon, but I met her mother and two of her sisters on Shabbat. Liz and her husband Meir were among those murdered at Kibbutz Chulit on the morning of Simchat Torah, leaving their 8-year-old daughter Adi to survive the horror. Baltimore, MD - Nov. 11, 2024 - Average gasoline prices in Baltimore have fallen 3.3 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.98/g today, according to GasBuddy's survey of 663 stations in Baltimore.
Prices in Baltimore are 23.6 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 15.7 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Baltimore was priced at $2.75/g yesterday while the most expensive was $3.39/g, a difference of 64.0 cents per gallon.
The lowest price in the state yesterday was $2.67/g while the highest was $3.79/g, a difference of $1.12/g.

The police in Amsterdam have been criticized for failing to respond adequately to the antisemitic pogrom in Amsterdam on Thursday night. However, some of the Israeli victims of the pogrom have stated that there were police officers who participated in the hours-long attack on Israeli soccer fans, Channel 12 News reported.
One such witness, Ariel, said that he got off the train with his friend at the end of the soccer match that evening. They encountered a migrant with a Palestinian flag who shouted at them but they ignored him and reached the main square on the way to their hotel. In the square, thousands of Muslims were waiting for them who shouted at them and cursed them, and after a few minutes, the crowd started running after them and after other fans.

Baltimore, MD - Nov.11, 2024 - It was a violent Saturday night in the Baltimore region.
Baltimore City Police responded to seven separate shootings across the city.
One shooting in the 5900 block of Belair Rd was deadly.
Fox45 obtained surveillance video of what shows a shootout between two people.
According to Baltimore police, a deceased 46-year-old man was shot in the head and a 24-year-old man walked into the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to the back.
Right now, it's not clear if the 24-year-old was the other shooter or struck in the crossfire.
In total, eight people were shot in the city Saturday night, including the fatality.
In Baltimore County, police are investigating a deadly triple shooting.
