Washington, D.C. - May 1, 2024  - We have all been stunned and outraged by what we have been hearing and seeing on America’s college campuses: Antisemitic and anti-Israel vitriol from students and professors; praise for Hamas and its butchery; threats, assaults, and violence against Jewish students; tepid response from university officials. Jewish students are rightfully scared for their safety. And we must support them! Representative Mike Lawler (R-NY) and Representative Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ) have introduced the Antisemitism Awareness Act (H.R. 6090), which directs the U.S. Department of Education to use the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s (IHRA) definition of antisemitism when investigating possible antisemitic actions on campus. Passage of this legisl...

Baltimore, MD - May 1, 2024  - Dozens of mail carriers from across the region gathered in downtown Baltimore Tuesday concerned about their safety. They raised their signs and lifted their voices and now they're expecting change. They gathered outside the main post office to ring the alarm, call attention, they say, to what's become a disturbing trend across the country: letter carriers being assaulted and robbed. "(Our workers) are out there doing their jobs and people out there pulling guns on them, taking the mail equipment, taking the mail, parcels and packages and we're fed up. Enough is enough," said Tony Vaughn, local president of the National Association of Letter Carriers. According to union leaders, since 2020, there've been 2,000 incidents reported acr...
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday met with representatives of hostages' families and bereaved families from the Heroism and Hope Forum at the Prime Minister's Office in Jerusalem. Speaking to the Forum, Netanyahu said, "The idea that we will halt the war before achieving all of its goals is out of the question." "We will enter Rafah and we will eliminate the Hamas battalions there – with or without a deal, in order to achieve the total victory." The Prime Minister also listened to the families' call to continue achieving the goals of the war and to withstand the international pressure. Earlier on Tuesday, it was reported that Netanyahu twice delayed the military operation in Rafah. Netanyahu's office denied earlier, similar reports.

Sources in the Hamas terror group have said that the Egyptian proposal for a prisoner swap deal is the best offer presented in recent months. Arab media claims that Israel has agreed to significantly compromise on a number of points which the terror group insisted on. According to the reports, Israel is willing to compromise on its presence in Gaza on the day after the war, and will not prevent Gazans from who left their homes from returning. It was also reported that Hamas will continue to rule Gaza, and there will be no international or Arab forces replacing it. London's Al-Quds Al-Arabi reported that there are still disagreements regarding the scope of Israel's withdrawal from the Netzarim area, as well as regarding the number of terrorists to be released in the ...
Former US President Donald Trump has blamed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the Hamas massacre of Israelis on October 7, but says that he thinks a two-state solution will be "very, very tough." Speaking to TIME magazine, Trump said he would support Israel in the event of a war with Iran: "If they attack Israel, yes, we would be there." He added that he now believes Israel's skepticism regarding the viability of a Palestinian state is on target: "There was a time when I thought two-state could work. Now I think two-state is going to be very, very tough." However, Trump also thinks that Israel should get the war "over with," and refused to rule out withholding military aid to Israel. Blaming the October 7 massacre on Netanyahu, Trump explained simply, "It happened on hi...
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, today (Tuesday, 30 April 2024):"You have to hear this to believe this. The International Criminal Court in The Hague is contemplating issuing arrest warrants against senior Israeli government and military officials as war criminals. This would be an outrage of historic proportions.                                                                                 &...

Large numbers of New York City police officers began entering Columbia University late on Tuesday as dozens of pro-Palestinian Arab protesters remained on the campus, The Associated Press reported. Shortly before officers entered the campus, the New York Police Department received a notice from Columbia authorizing officers to take action, a law enforcement official told AP. After entering the campus, a contingent of police officers approached Hamilton Hall, the administration building that students began occupying in the morning. “Walk away from this situation now and continue your advocacy through other means,” New York City Mayor Eric Adams advised the Columbia protesters on Tuesday afternoon. “This must end now.” The White House earlier o...

An Israeli diplomatic official responded on Sunday to the criticism that has been leveled at the government for contemplating calling off an operation in the Gazan city of Rafah if a hostage release deal with Hamas were to be agreed upon. “The preparations for entering Rafah are continuing. In any deal, if there is one, Israel will not give up the goals of the war,” said the official. Earlier on Sunday, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich blasted the Egyptian outline for a deal to release the hostages, in exchange for a ceasefire that would prevent the entry of Israeli military into Rafah. Smotrich spoke to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a videotaped message and said, "Mr. Prime Minister, all Egyptian mediation agreements that ended previous ‘rounds&rsquo...

During the incident involving the M/V DALI, eight road crew workers, who were on break from repairing potholes, were present on the bridge when it collapsed. While two workers were rescued, four missing persons have been recovered, leaving two still unaccounted for. Harvard Kennedy School’s Institute of Politics recently released its Spring 2024 poll of young voters 18 to 29 years old and offered some surprising findings regarding the 2024 election and how young people view the Israel-Hamas conflict. Of the 2,010 young Americans polled, 5-to-1 (51% support, 10% oppose) favor a permanent ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas conflict, while “majorities of young Americans sympathize with the Israeli and the Palestinian people.” However, attention paid to the conflict did not seem to mirror the strong sentiments seen on U.S. campuses across the country, which have been heavily covered in the media. The poll’s summary noted:
While only 38% of young Americans tell us that they are following the news about the war between&nb...
As tensions continue to escalate between Israel and Hamas, Qatar, a key mediator in the conflict, has called on both parties to demonstrate greater commitment and seriousness in reaching a ceasefire agreement.  With pressure mounting for a resolution to the nearly seven-month-long war in Gaza, Qatar's diplomatic efforts underscore the urgency of finding a peaceful solution to the ongoing crisis. In an interview with Israeli media outlets, a senior Qatari official emphasized the need for renewed commitment from both Israel and Hamas to achieve a ceasefire. They stated, "If there is a renewed commitment from both parties, I am sure we can reach an agreement." This plea comes amidst stalled negotiations and escalating violence, highlighting the critical importance of dialogue and ...
Israel's far-right finance minister Bezalel Smotrich on Sunday, amid ongoing negotiations with Hamas, issued a statement directed to Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, warning him against canceling the Rafah operation, the international community has been strongly opposed to. "Agreeing to the Egyptian deal is a humiliating surrender, and it grants victory to the Nazis on the backs of the hundreds of heroic IDF soldiers who fell in battle, it imposes a death sentence on the abductees who are not included in the deal, and above all - constitutes an immediate existential danger to the State of Israel," said Smotrich. "If you decide to wave a white flag and cancel the order to occupy Rafah immediately in order to complete the mission of destroying Hamas, restore security t...
Jerusalem, Israel - Apr. 28, 2024  - Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center, expresses deep concern over recent reports of Holocaust memorials and monuments being covered in both the United States and the United Kingdom. Holocaust memorials serve as solemn reminders of the unparalleled horrors perpetrated, during one of the darkest chapters in human history. They stand as testaments to the millions of innocent lives lost and are beacons of hope so that such atrocities cannot and will never be allowed to occur once more. The decision to cover up Holocaust memorials and exhibitions out of fear from the scourge of global antisemitism is deeply troubling. By concealing these historical reminders, we are only addressing the symptoms while ignoring the root cause of the issue....

Authorities cover a Holocaust memorial to prevent vandalism to it in London’s Hyde Park, where thousands protest each weekend against Israel. On Saturday, the monument to the Holocaust victims, which features Hebrew engravings, was covered by a blue tarp, LBC radio reports Sunday. Park authorities tell LBC that the move is a “precautionary measure” ahead of “various events.” Hyde Park serves as the terminus for multiple anti-Israel marches that have been going on, mostly on weekends, since the outbreak of war between Hamas in Gaza and Israel. Holocaust survivor Noemi Ebenstein tells The Daily Mail about the decision to cover the monument: “It is shameful. Seeing this, it feels like they are winning. Those who are Jew haters, those who are Holoc...
