Baltimore, MD - June 5, 2023 - Gas prices in Baltimore have fallen by 7.6 cents per gallon over the past week, with an average of $3.40 per gallon, according to FOX45. This is slightly higher than a month ago but still significantly lower than the same period last year. The national average price for diesel has also dropped slightly. Despite these declines, experts warn that a recent agreement by OPEC+ to reduce oil production may cause a temporary increase in oil and gas prices. This comes as global oil supplies remain tight and demand is weaker than expected. However, the impact on average gas prices is expected to be minimal and short-lived. The lowest and highest gas prices in the state were reported at $3.14 and $3.99 per gallon, respectively.

Chuck Todd said Sunday he'll be leaving “Meet the Press” after a tumultuous near-decade of moderating the NBC political panel show, to be replaced in the coming months by Kristen Welker. Todd, 51, told viewers that “I've watched too many friends and family let work consume them before it was too late” and that he'd promised his family he wouldn't do that. Todd has often been an online punching bag for critics during a polarized time, and there were rumors that his time at the show would be short when its executive producer was reassigned at the end of last summer. It's unclear when Todd's last show will be, but he told viewers that this would be his final summer. “I leave feeling concerned about this moment in history b...

A Secret Service probe found that agents guarding a top Biden official’s home didn’t notice an intruder on the property because they were on their phones, according to a report. The frontier, stretching to some 125 miles, is usually peaceful, as the neighbors share close security ties, though there are frequent reports of drug smuggling, including one that took place prior to the deadly violence and may have provided an opportunity for the assailant to infiltrate into Israel unobserved.  The report, by the Al-...

New details are coming out about the attack on the Egyptian border early Saturday morning, which left three IDF soldiers, Ori Yitzhak Illouz, Lia Bin-Nun, and Ohad Dahan, dead. Among the items the terrorist had on his person was a Quran, which may be a sign that he had become radicalized. The IDF estimates that that drove him to carry out the attack. Elections for the Chief Rabbinate, which were due to be held in August, have been postponed until after the municipal elections on October 31, Religious Services Minister Michael Malchieli said. Malchieli announced the postponement in a letter his office sent Thursday to Carmit Yulis, the deputy attorney general for civil affairs. He cited concerns the municipal voting could interfere with the rabbinical elections, in which a council of 150 people — most of them rabbis affiliated with local offices of the rabbinate and their employees — select an Ashkenazi and a Sephardic chief rabbi of Israel. They also pick the Chief Rabbinate Council, which the chief rabbis head. The elections to the rabbinate have been postponed in the past by several months, most recently in 2013, due t...
On Thursday night, a baby choked on an ice cube during dinner at her home. Thankfully, her mother knew that the owner of the neighboring restaurant, Moshe Amano, was a volunteer for United Hatzalah. Without wasting a moment, she rushed to the nearby restaurant where Moshe was working, desperately seeking help. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Moshe swiftly took the baby from her distressed mother and assessed the severity of the blockage. The infant was not breathing, and her eyes were rolling backward, a clear indication of the dire circumstances. Without hesitation, Moshe gently placed the baby girl on her stomach, supporting her with his hand. He delivered precise back blows between her tiny shoulders, aiming to dislodge the obstructing ice cube and restore her breathing. Wi...
