Twitter officially turned over the institutional White House accounts to the Biden administration on Wednesday.
President Biden will now have access to the @POTUS account and Vice President Harris will have @VP. Accounts for the White House, press secretary and spouses of the new leaders are also being transferred.

Netherlands, Germany sever ties with Islamic Relief Worldwide charity over Muslim Brotherhood links
The US State Department severed all links with Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) charity over anti-Semitism charges against the entity, Washington Free Beacon reported Monday.
The report cited a deputy anti-Semitism envoy as saying that the State Department is "conducting a full review of the organization and US government funding" due to suspected anti-Semitic views held by some of the IRW higher-ups.

China announced multiple sanctions against Trump administration officials and allies on Wednesday, including Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, just as Trump's term ends and President Biden’s administration begins.
28 people have been sanctioned by the Chinese government for their alleged involvement in violating “China's sovereignty.”

Joe Biden is sworn in as the 46th President of the United States on January 20, following months of bitter resistance from Donald Trump to the outcome of the November presidential election. The traditional outdoor inauguration ceremony for the new president is set to go ahead - although the threats of further violence coupled with the coronavirus pandemic will scale back the usual celebrations.Biden and Harris will travel to the Capitol at 10.30am before the swearing-in ceremony begins at 11.15am
Biden will be sworn in at noon and will deliver his inaugural address after that.
