President Donald Trump again took a swipe at Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan on Twitter, this time citing a conservative website's report on the state's deal to acquire 500,000 South Korean coronavirus tests.
In a tweet posted just before noon Sunday, the president said: "Report: Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, Anti-Trump Hero, Paid for Flawed Coronavirus Tests from South Korea via @BreitbartNews. This (Republican In Name Only) will never make the grade. Hogan is just as bad as the flawed tests he paid big money for!"

The U.S. has officially withdrawn from the 1992 Open Skies Treaty, a pact with Russia that permitted unarmed, reconnaissance flights over each other’s territories.
Sunday was the deadline after a 6-month warning on withdrawal, according to State Department deputy spokesman Cale Brown.

The Ontario province will initiate partial coronavirus lockdown measures in two regions starting Monday, officials announced.
Ontario is home to Toronto, the largest city in Canada with almost 3 million residents. Ontario has seen over 1,400 cases in the past 24 hours, forcing Ontario Premier Doug Ford to initiate a “lockdown.”
The lockdown will cover Toronto and the Peel Region, Ford announced on Friday.

In Greensboro, N.C., the violence has gotten so extreme that a shootout erupted in front of the county courthouse the other day, across the street from the sheriff’s office, leaving a 20-year-old man dead. Greensboro set a city record with 45 homicides last year, and, as of Friday, already had 54 this year.
“We’ve always had a level of gang activity,” Greensboro Police Chief Brian James said in an interview, “but it’s more prolific now. I’m not sure what’s changed, but the offenders are more bold than they’ve ever been.”

Baltimore’s mayor has vetoed two bills that would have required hospitality businesses to rehire laid-off workers in the city once they reopen and hotels to retain staff if their owners change.
The Baltimore City Council approved both bills by wide margins amid pushback from the hotel industry, but Mayor Bernard C. “Jack” Young called the bills government overreach when they got to his desk this week, The Baltimore Sun reported.

Two pro-life groups filed a lawsuit on Wednesday against Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser over an incident earlier this year in which activists were arrested for trying to write a chalk message in front of a Planned Parenthood clinic.
The arrests came after activists attempted to write “Black Pre-born Lives Matter” in chalk on the sidewalk, but were arrested. The message echoed the “Black Lives Matter” message authorized to be painted on the street near the White House by the mayor herself. Activists added “Defund the Police” to the message, which was left on the street for weeks before quietly being removed by the city.
