An Israeli and Palestinian official met in the West Bank city of Ramallah on Thursday marking the first encounter between the two sides in more than six months.
"Today I held a meeting with the Israeli side, during which it was emphasized that the bilateral agreements that have been signed govern this relationship," tweeted Hussein al-Sheikh, Palestinian Minister of Civil Affairs, referring to multiple agreements signed including those of Oslo in 1993.

For those who travel, health agency recommends doing so 'as safely as possible'
In a telebriefing held Thursday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) warned against traveling to visit relatives and friends this Thanksgiving and holiday season and urged those with possible coronavirus symptoms or other illnesses to stay home.
“With Thanksgiving approaching our hearts and minds turn to visiting family and friends,” said Dr. Henry Walke, the agency’s COVID-19 incident manager, during the briefing. "Amid this critical phase, the CDC is recommending against travel during the Thanksgiving period."
Walke added that for those who do decide to travel, the health agency recommends doing so "as safely as possible," ...

US State Secretary Mike Pompeo said the US will be branding goods made in Israeli settlements in the West Bank as "Made in Israel" on Thursday.

The Palestinian Authority (PA) will reportedly send their ambassadors back to the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain following a months-long protest over their decision to normalize ties with Israel, according to Israeli media sources.
In September, the PA recalled their envoy to Bahrain after announcing they would join the UAE in establishing historic diplomatic ties with Israel via the Abraham Accords, calling it a “betrayal of Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian issue.”

The Maryland Health Department says many people are not being cooperative with contact tracers in an effort to curb the spike in coronavirus cases.
“There are people who just decline to participate in an interview,” said Dr. Jinlene Chan, the state's acting deputy health secretary. “We are asking very detailed information about where they may have been. Phone numbers are incorrect, or we don’t have the phone numbers, so, of course, that does make it difficult to contact individuals.”

Federal health officials on Wednesday expressed confidence that every state will have access to at least some doses of a COVID-19 vaccine for distribution within 24 hours after authorization.

A group of Republican senators sent a letter to President Trump this week asking him to alter U.S. customs policy so that “Made in Israel” labels are put on products coming from the West Bank, a territory much of the world says is illegally occupied by Israeli settlements.

A federal judge on Wednesday dismissed a lawsuit filed in May that alleged Gov. Larry Hogan's stay-at-home order, issued during the first wave of the coronavirus, was unconstitutional.
The plaintiffs, who included Republican Dels. Dan Cox, Neil Parrott and Warren Miller, alleged the governor's orders violated the First, Fifth and Fourteenth amendments, the constitutional guarantee of a republican form of government and the Commerce Clause, in addition to rights protected by the state constitution.
