President Donald Trump on Tuesday demanded that the United Nations hold China accountable for the coronavirus pandemic as he defends his handling of COVID-19 in America.
“We have waged a fierce battle against the invisible enemy – the China virus – which has claimed countless lives in 188 countries,” Trump said in a prerecorded address to the U.N. General Assembly that lasted less than seven minutes.

The United States hit another grim milestone in the coronavirus epidemic on Tuesday when the death toll surpassed 200,000, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University. The country leads the world by far in both the number of deaths and the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases – which has climbed to over 6.5 million – as officials in several parts of the U.S. begin to loosen restrictions on social distancing rules.

The Baltimore City Council has passed a bill to change the name of an obelisk in Northeast Baltimore from the Columbus Monument to the "Police Violence Victims' Monument."
According to The Baltimore Sun, the council still voted 10-4 at its Monday night meeting to approve the legislation.
The bill still needs another vote and the mayor’s signature before going into effect.
