The House of Representatives adopted a resolution to honor the "life and legacy" of late conservative activist Charlie Kirk on Friday, just over a week after he was shot and killed during a college campus speaking event in Utah.
The measure got bipartisan support in a 310 to 58 vote, with both Democrats and Republicans having quickly risen to condemn political violence in the wake of Kirk's assassination.
The vote divided Democrats, however, with 95 lawmakers voting to adopt the resolution, 58 voting against it, and 22 not voting at all.Thirty-eight Democrats also voted "present" on the resolution as well. The top three House Democrats – Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., Whip Katherine Clark, D-Mass., and Caucus Chairman Pete Aguilar, D-Calif. – all vote...

I got some mussar the other day, which is not a bad thing, especially at this time of year.
A woman I bumped into the other day chided me, “You stopped writing!” I was taken aback. I knew she meant it as a compliment; however, I did not realize how much my words meant to her. I reassured her I’d get back on track.
It has been a busy and very fun summer, Baruch Hashem, with some writing here and there (and rejections!), a very busy back to school season, and of course the start of another holiday one as well. There really hasn’t been much time to write, so Mrs. X, this one’s for you!
This past summer, I had the privilege of travelling to Budapest and Keresztir with a group of young women in shidduchim. It was a very special trip for many reasons,...
Towards the end of Parshas Nitzavim, there are twenty Psukim within which the Torah refers to the Brachos and Klalos, which were just delivered on Har Grizim and Har Eival, in a multitude of different ways. Finally, Hashem says that he is bringing the heavens and earth as witnesses that he has indeed set before us “life and death and blessings and curse”. (30:19). Why does the Torah alternate between blessings and curse, life and death and ...
