The IDF continues to strike targets in Iran. This afternoon, it was reported that a Revolutionary Guards base in the Yazd area of central Iran, about 1,800 km from Israel, was attacked. This is one of the most distant targets that Israel has struck in Iran so far.
Meanwhile, The Wall Street Journal revealed further behind-the-scenes details of the decision-making process within the White House.
A senior American official shared with the newspaper the discussions among senior officials prior to the strike. "There was a real debate earlier this week about what should be done, but Trump signaled on Tuesday that he was inclined to go for it, and that changed everything," the official said. "The goal was to create a situation that no one would expect," he stated, hinting that it was...

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth delivered a press conference following the US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, which he referred to as an "incredible and overwhelming success."
Hegseth declared that "we devastated the Iranian nuclear program. But it's worth noting that the operation did not target Iranian troops or the Iranian people. For the entirety of his time in office, President Trump has consistently stated that Iran must not get a nuclear weapon. Thanks to President Trump's bold and visionary leadership, and his commitment to peace through strength, Iran's nuclear ambitions have been obliterated."
He added that "many presidents have dreamed about delivering the final blow to Iran's nuclear program, and none could until President Trump."

Democratic Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) (New York's 14th District) and Ilhan Omar (Minnesota's 5th District) denounced US President Donald Trump's ordering of airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities on Saturday.
"The President’s disastrous decision to bomb Iran without authorization is a grave violation of the Constitution and Congressional War Powers," AOC wrote on X/Twitter.
"He has impulsively risked launching a war that may ensnare us for generations. It is absolutely and clearly grounds for impeachment," she added.
"The strikes on Iran, ordered by President Trump and executed without congressional authorization, mark a dangerous and reckless escalation of an already volatile conflict in the Middle East," Omar wro...
U.S. forces have attacked three Iranian nuclear and military sites, further upping the stakes in the Israel-Iran war.
President Donald Trump said the strikes, which he described as “very successful,” had hit the Natanz, Fordo and Isfahan sites, with Fordo being the primary target. The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran confirmed there were attacks early Sunday at all three nuclear sites.
Israel launched a surprise barrage of attacks on sites in Iran on June 13, which Israeli officials said was necessary to head off what they claimed was an imminent threat that Iran would build nuclear bombs.
Iran, which has long insisted its nuclear program is peaceful, has retaliated with a series of missile and drone strikes in Israel, while Israel has continued to strike si...
Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, has chosen three potential candidates to succeed him in the event he is killed in a war against Israel, according to Iranian sources who spoke to The New York Times.
Additionally, he identified the names of three "senior clerics" who could replace him in the event he himself is eliminated.
Khamenei, 86, has been hiding in a bunker since the outbreak of military conflict last week, during which several of his senior commanders and close associates were eliminated.
Another source noted that the Supreme Leader's son, Mojtaba Khamenei, is not on the list of successors, despite rumors that the son is a leading candidate to succeed his father.
Israel has already hinted that Khamenei could be a target, while US President Donald Trump stated ...
Maryland State Police have arrested an Illinois man in connection with a shooting on Interstate 83 in Baltimore County.
Investigators also believe the suspect, Christian Ramos of Aurora, Illinois, may be linked to three additional shootings along I-83 in Pennsylvania.
Ramos, pictured below, is charged with three counts of attempted first-degree murder and related offenses. Police are asking people who may have seen Ramos or any incident to come forward.
Shortly before midnight on June 18th, a driver called 911 and reported his Toyota Prius had been shot at while he was traveling south on I-83.
Three people were in the car, including a 2-year-old child. No injuries were reported, but crime scene technicians found a bullet hole in the passenger-side window and a projectile lodged in the ...
Beni Sabti, an Iran expert at the Institute for National Security Studies, spoke in the Channel 12 News studio about an unusual series of incidents reported in Iran's missile corps.
"Something strange is happening to Iranian technology," he stated. It is so far only a few Iranian citizens reporting this, and they have not been able to film it happening."
"From their descriptions, missiles fired from western Tehran are detonating just a few dozen meters out of the launchers," he described. "This has happened more than a few times already."
"It is like the Hezbollah pager explosions, but with different technology," he added.
The Houthi military militia in northern Yemen, operating on behalf of the Shiite regime, issued a strong statement Saturday expressing full support for Iran in its struggle against Israel.
In an official statement published under the name "The Yemeni Armed Forces," it was claimed that this is "a campaign of the entire Islamic nation," and that any American attack against Iran will lead to an assault on American ships in the Red Sea.
According to the Houthis, Israel, with US assistance, is trying to achieve regional hegemony through its war in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and Iran. They also claimed that the aim is "to overthrow the Islamic regime in Tehran — the main obstacle to implementing its plans."
The statement reads: "Yemen's position is principled and permanent — oppos...
US President Donald Trump gave a short address to the nation on Saturday night, after the US launched strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites.
“Our objective was the destruction of Iran’s nuclear enrichment capacity and a stop to the nuclear threat posed by the world's number one state sponsor of terror,” stated Trump.
“Tonight I can report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular military success. Iran's key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated,” he added.
“Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace. If they do not, future attacks will be far greater and a lot easier,” warned Trump.
“For 40 years, Iran has been saying death to America, death to Israel. They have...

“Congratulations, President Trump. Your bold decision to target Iran’s nuclear facilities with the awesome and righteous might of the United States will change history,” Netanyahu says.
“In Operation Rising Lion, Israel has done truly amazing things. But in tonight’s action against Iran’s nuclear facilities, America has been truly unsurpassed. It has done what no other country on earth could do.”
“History will record that President Trump acted to deny the world’s most dangerous regime, the world’s most dangerous weapons,” Netanyahu continues.

President Trump announced Saturday the United States had bombed three Iranian nuclear sites, including the Fordow site that is located in a mountainside.
“We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan,” Trump posted on Truth Social.
“All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home,” Trump added. “Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE!”

A federal judge on Friday indefinitely blocked the Trump administration from revoking Harvard University’s ability to host international students and scholars while legal challenges continue.
The preliminary injunction issued by US District Judge Allison Burroughs extends a temporary block the judge had issued last month against the administration after it revoked the school’s certification in the Student and Exchange Visitor Program, which allows it to host foreign students and scholars.
The school’s legal battle against the administration took a turn in recent weeks after President Donald Trump issued a proclamation that suspends international visas for new students. The judge similarly stepped in on an emergency basis to halt that order in early June, and s...
A federal judge on Friday ordered anti-Israel activist Mahmoud Khalil to be released on bail while his immigration and civil cases proceed through the courts, citing the "extraordinary circumstances" of his case.
Judge Michael Farbiarz, a Biden appointee, assessed during a hearing in New Jersey that Khalil was not a flight risk or a danger to the community and that his detention was therefore "highly unusual."
Khalil's attorneys had said in a letter to the court that his imprisonment in an immigration detention center in Jena, Louisiana, was an "exceedingly rare" decision on the part of the government and amounted to unconstitutional retaliation.
Khalil, a lawful permanent resident, has been detained for three months after he was arrested in March at his apartment at Co...
