Jerusalem, Israel - Feb. 21, 2025 - Since day one, I’ve been telling anyone who will listen that since 10/7, we’ve witnessed so many miracles, it’s hard to count.
Some of these miracles are easy to recognize, like how well the beeper operation went down or how successful we were at intercepting or detonating those hundreds of drones and ballistic missiles fired at us from Iran. Twice.
Other miracles were harder to recognize.
And then we have last night.
Last night was a miracle the caliber of the splitting of the sea.
I am talking an open miracle that could and should have ended very differently.
Do not ask me for my source and if that means you don’t believe what I’m about to say, so be it. You can keep scrolling. But if you know my work, you know...
Washington, D.C. - Feb. 21, 2025 - The Supreme Court unanimously sided with Hungary on Friday by rejecting a group of Holocaust survivors’ legal theory that sought to haul the country into American courts to pay compensation.
The court’s decision rebuffs the survivors’ claims that they are entitled to funds from the Hungarian treasury for the government and national railway confiscating their assets during World War II, which have been liquidated and “comingled” with general government funds in the decades since.
“The Court concludes that a commingling theory, without more, cannot satisfy the commercial nexus requirement,” Justice Sonia Sotomayor, former President Obama’s first nominee to the court, wrote...

Tel Aviv, Israel - Feb. 21, 2025 - Israel confirmed Tuesday that the final six living hostages slated for release under phase one of a ceasefire deal would all be freed on Saturday, after the Hamas terror group announced that it would expedite the handovers.
The six include Avera Mengistu and Hisham al-Sayed, who have been held by Hamas since entering the Strip on their own in 2014 and 2015, respectively.
The other four, all of whom were taken on October 7, 2023, include father Tal Shoham and three young men kidnapped from the Nova music festival: Omer Shem-Tov, Omer Wenkert and Eliya Cohen.
Hamas is also slated to release the bodies of eight slain hostages over the next two weeks.
Families of all six living hostages confirmed that they were on the list of captives slated for release.

Written in memory of Kfir and Ariel Bibas, H'yd, and as a zechus for all the hostages to come home alive and whole in body and spirit.
Baltimore, MD - Feb. 21, 2025 - There is so much to process. There is so much to write. Who am I to put my two cents into the mental state affairs of our people, but I will anyway. Thank you to Baltimore Jewish Life for allowing me to share my thoughts and perspectives, especially through the lens of a preschool Morah. It is with this lens that I view the macabre events of the day and of course from a humanistic one as well.
Somewhat comforting is all the posts and tweets that have been shared by politicians and social media personality, jew and non-jew alike. What is not comforting at all and actually what has en...
Annapolis, MD - Feb. 21, 2025 - Financial pain is coming as Maryland faces a nearly 3-billion-dollar budget deficit due in large part to public education spending.
The warning signs have been there for years, but many lawmakers in Annapolis appear to have looked the other way.
On Wednesday, lawmakers from the Maryland House and Senate met in Annapolis for a joint hearing to discuss Governor Wes Moore’s proposed adjustments to the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future – the state’s landmark education reform bill passed in 2021, almost two years before Moore took office. The Blueprint pumps $30 billion additional tax dollars into public education over the first 10 years. And $4 billion additional dollars every year after that. The law, in part, increases teacher sal...
Baltimore, MD - Feb. 21, 2025 - Drivers with the need for speed could soon be forced to slow down if lawmakers in Annapolis approve a bill forcing this device onto your car.
The vehicle management system tracks your speed and stops the car from going faster than the speed limit.
"A program that would be applied to the most egregious violators of our speeding laws on our Maryland roadways," said Regina Ali with AAA Mid-Atlantic
This would be a pilot program, to see how it works in our state.
Only people whose licenses are going to be suspended can participate.
Instead, they can opt into this program, keep their license with the conditions the system is installed, and keep driving.
"How many times has someone that's watching this, has anyone, driven down the roads and said, ...
I am often struck by how often the Parshas Hashavua has a message which is deeply relevant to the current events of the world. Perhaps never as poignant as this week. While much of the focus has been on the return of some of the murdered hostages from Gaza, what cannot be overlooked is that these murders took place after one of the most infamous crimes in this weeks Parsha - kidnapping. As often is the case, we watch the world react with nary a yawn to the heinous crime, when the Torah instructs us of it's severity in no uncertain terms. Below you will find a piece I wrote a few years ago which highlights this idea. Hashem Yakum Damim.
Parshas Mishpatim teaches us a great deal of the Mitzvos needed for a functioning society. Included among t...
Argentine President Javier Milei declares two days of national mourning in Argentina for Ariel and Kfir Bibas — who held Argentine citizenship — following the confirmation of their deaths in Hamas captivity. In a post on X, Milei released a statement where he strongly condemns the terror group Hamas.
“According to the National Center of Forensic Medicine, the children were brutally assassinated in captivity by Hamas terrorists in November 2023. It is monstrous that these events happen in this century, and that their death is due to a single motivation: to be Jews.”
“The president of the nation decrees national mourning for two days in memory of Ariel and Kfir Bibas, and expresses in the name of Argentines, condolences to the family, especially Yarden Bibas, ...
The annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) conference, considered one of the most prominent political events in American politics, opened in Washington on Wednesday night.
At one of the conference sessions, a dramatic resolution was passed to support Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria.
The resolution, reached after intensive contacts between Yesha Council Chair and Binyamin Regional Council Governor Israel Ganz and senior CPAC figures, is a significant opening point for the CPAC annual conference, which President Donald Trump and senior administration officials, including Vice President J.D. Vance, US Ambassador to the UN Alice Stefanik and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz are expected to attend.
The official Israeli government representative at the conference ...
Jerusalem, Israel - Feb. 20, 2025 - In a significant achievement for the English-speaking community, Israel’s Health Ministry has directed all Kupot Cholim (health funds) to accept communications from patients to doctors in foreign languages. This follows pressure from Chaim V’Chessed and widespread backlash from English-speaking residents.
As previously reported by Chaim V’Chessed in December, Kupat Cholim Meuchedet had implemented a policy requiring all contact forms from patients to be filled out exclusively in Hebrew. This policy was met with strong opposition from English-speakers, who argued that it posed serious risks, particularly when it came to accurately conveying medical instructions and prescriptions. Chaim V’Chessed labeled the policy not on...
After detailing a slew of various commandments, the majority of which govern civil law, the Torah transitions to the matter at hand of their impending journey to the promised land.
"Behold! I send an מלאך — angel before you to protect you on the way and bring you to the place I have made ready. Beware of him, hearken to his voice, do not rebel against him, for he will not forgive your willful sin — for שמי — My Name is within him." (Shemos 23 20-21)
Seemingly everyone is fine with their being led by this special emissary of G-d.
After their downfall in the episode of the Golden Calf, and G-d's expressed intention to do away with them and start anew through Moshe alone, Moshe entreats G-d and gains their reprieve, but with one caveat.
"I shall send an מל...
The military informs the Bibas family that the bodies of Ariel and Kfir Bibas have been identified after their remains were given to Israel by Hamas on Thursday.
However, the third body at the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute was not that of their mother, Shiri Bibas, says the Israel Defense Forces. Specialists at Abu Kabir were not able to identify the body.
The authorities, using forensic evidence and intelligence, assess that the two young boys were ‘”brutally murdered” by terrorists in November 2023, says the IDF. Ariel was 4-years-old and Kfir was 10-months-old when they were murdered.
“This is a very serious violation by the Hamas terrorist organization, which is required by the agreement to return four dead hostages,” says the IDF. “We demand tha...
Bat Yam, Israel - Feb. 20, 2025 - Three empty buses exploded and caught fire on Thursday evening in three parking lots in Bat Yam, south of Tel Aviv. Additional explosive devices were found on two buses in the nearby city of Holon.
One explosion occurred in a bus lot near the Bat Yam Stadium and the second in a lot 400 meters away.
Later a report was received about a bus that exploded in a lot near Wolfson Hospital in Holon, four kilometers away from the other two.
The words: "Revenge from Tulkarm" were found written on one of the devices.
After the explosions, bus drivers in Bat Yam received a voice message stating: "I ask all drivers who are currently on routes to stop at the nearest bus stop and search the bus. If you see a suspicious bag, please report it."

Washington, D.C. – Feb. 20, 2025 – Kash Patel has officially been confirmed as the new FBI director following a contentious Senate process. The final vote took place Thursday, with a 51-47 tally to end debate on his nomination, clearing the way for his approval.
Patel, a longtime Trump ally, has vowed to reform the bureau, aiming to depoliticize decision-making after years of controversy. His confirmation followed a heated nomination process, during which Democratic senators questioned his stance on the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
President Trump has expressed confidence in Patel, calling him the right choice to restore the FBI’s reputation.
