Baltimore, MD – Feb. 10, 2025 – A disturbing act of antisemitic vandalism has targeted a well-known display in front of Azi Rosenblum’s home, where posters of the Israeli hostages taken on October 7th have been prominently featured for months. Rosenblum’s yard has become a local symbol of solidarity, displaying images of the hostages kidnapped by Hamas, serving as a constant reminder of those still held captive. However, this past weekend, a vandal defaced the display in a shocking and offensive manner—adding posters featuring images of Jewish children unrelated to the hostage crisis, as if to mock or undermine the display’s message.

And this is exactly what we see at the beginning of our Torah portion, Parashat Yitro: The whole world heard about Yetziat Mitzrayim. Everyone talked about it. But there was one person who stood up and did something.
Parashat Yitro begins, “And Yitro, priest of Midian, Moshe’s father-in-law, heard of all that God had done for Moshe and for Israel His people."
Yitro hears about the transition from slavery to freedom, about the new tidings in the world, and he does not remain indifferent. He hears, internalizes, and takes action: "And Yitro, Moshe’s father-in-law, came."

The chain, which has about 600 US locations, hopes that "these limits will help to ensure that as many of our customers who need eggs are able to purchase them when they visit Trader Joe's."
Other grocery stores are following suit. Kroger confirmed to CNN that while no national limit is in place for its stores, some of its locations "are choosing to do so based on availability" — allowing purchases of only two doze...
