Towson, MD - Dec. 18, 2024 - At today’s press conference regarding Tuesday night’s mass shooting, #BCoPD Chief Robert O. McCullough said that preliminarily detectives believe that all of the known victims were traveling together in the vehicle that crashed at the scene of the shooting Tuesday evening.
One victim has since been released from the hospital. Below is a list of the victims and their ages. Detectives continue to believe this was an isolated incident.

An incendiary device was thrown at the Beth Tikvah synagogue in Montreal early Wednesday morning, leading Canadian authorities to suspect an antisemitic hate crime. Firefighters responded to the scene at 3 a.m. to extinguish the flames, which shattered the synagogue’s window and door. Witnesses reported seeing at least one individual near the site before the fire began. Baltimore, MD - Dec. 18, 2024 - A judge approved former Baltimore State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby's request to travel to Texas in December during her house arrest, according to court documents.
According to a court order, Mosby asked a judge for permission to travel to Levelland, Texas for employment purposes between December 15 and December 18.
Mosby said she needs to tour a facility that her company is considering acquiring and attend local meetings as part of the effort, according to the order.
In May, Mosby was sentenced to three years of probation and a year of house arrest for perjury and mortgage fraud.

Baltimore, MD – Dec. 18, 2024 – A small fire broke out early this morning at the Pearlstone Retreat Center, a hub for Jewish retreats and environmental education. Thanks to swift action by emergency crews and the building’s sprinkler system, the damage was minimal.
Eve Wachhaus, COO of Pearlstone, provided an update from the scene, stating that the retreat center is in far better condition than initially feared. While sprinklers were activated in a few spaces and some water damage occurred, the main rooms, including the kitchen, remain intact. The fire originated from a propane heater placed too close to an exterior wall, causing minor damage to the exterior and a meeting space above it.

Baltimore, MD - Dec. 18, 2024 - The Social Security full retirement age (FRA) is set to increase in 2025, affecting Maryland residents born in 1960 or later. Currently, individuals can claim reduced benefits starting at age 62, but to receive full benefits, they must wait until the FRA. For those born in 1960 or later, the FRA will rise to 67 in 2025.
This change means that Maryland residents turning 62 in 2025 can still begin receiving Social Security benefits; however, these benefits will be reduced to account for the longer period over which they will be received. To obtain full benefits without reduction, individuals will need to wait until age 67.

Negotiations fora prisoner swap-ceasefire deal with Israel are nearing conclusion, the Hamas-affiliated Quds network reported.
According to the report, "the negotiations between Israel and the organization are now in their final stages."
"A discussion is ongoing regarding the names and sentences of the Palestinian prisoners who will be freed as part of the deal," the report added. According to the sources, "the prisoners with heavier [sentences] will be exiled to Turkey and Iran, while the rest will be released to Judea, Samaria, and the Gaza Strip."
