US President Joe Biden reacted Sunday morning to the announcement that six hostages, including US citizen Hersh Goldberg-Polin, were murdered by their Hamas captors.
"Earlier today, in a tunnel under the city of Rafah, Israeli forces recovered six bodies of hostages held by Hamas. Three people were murdered and one was seriously wounded Sunday morning in a terrorist shooting attack near the Tarqumiya Checkpoint in the Hebron area, according to initial reports.
First responders are treating the wounded at the scene. The MDA reported that two victims were critically wounded and one seriously wounded, all of whom were treated at the scene. The two critically wounded victims were later declared dead.
Security forces reported that the vehicle used by the terrorists was abandoned shortly after the attack. The IDF stated "Following the initial report, terrorists arrived at the area of the Idna Tarqumiyah Junction and fired at a vehicle. There are three injured individuals of varying degrees at the scene. Security forces have begun to search for the terrorists."

American-Israeli hostage Hersh Goldberg-Polin was confirmed dead by his family on their Instagram early on Sunday morning, after his body and the body of others were retrieved from Gaza by the IDF.

Seyed Hamid Tofigh, 57, a former dentist who stole more than $8.6 million from Maryland medicaid, was sentenced following a probation violation.
“People who knowingly break the law over cannot avoid the consequences," said Attorney General Brown. “This former dentist had already put his young patients at risk and was trying to return to practicing dentistry again without a license, which would have put the public in danger.

Police arrested a suspect in an attack on a group of Jewish students on the grounds of the University of Pittsburgh, U.S. media reported Saturday.
Two of the students were treated at the scene for injuries after the suspect attacked them with a bottle.
“The alleged perpetrator, who has no known Pitt affiliation, was immediately arrested by Pitt Police and is in custody,” the university's statement said.
“To be clear: Neither acts of violence nor antisemitism will be tolerated,” the statement further added. “Local and federal partners are supporting Pitt Police in this ongoing investigation.”

US President Joe Biden on Saturday was asked by reporters about the IDF’s announcement that several bodies had been located in the Gaza Strip, saying the IDF is identifying the bodies and he does not have much to report about it.
"I'm not sure the exact number…there's a lot of speculation on who they are. I'm not at liberty to do that at this moment," he said.

Mosby, the former top prosecutor in Baltimore City, was convicted on two counts of federal perjury charges and one federal mortgage fraud charge. She was sentenced to one year of home detention – a decision from Judge Lydia Kay Griggsby that was a departure from the sentencing request from prosecutors, who sought incarceration time.
