By his side every moment stood his beloved wife Rochel who, together with their children, was fully devoted to his care. Their lives revolved around keeping Rav Dovid comfortable, cared for, and surrounded by love.

US President Donald Trump told reporters on Thursday that the US is "close to getting hostages in Gaza back," while Israeli officials told The Jerusalem Post that there has been "some movement" from Hamas's side concerning the negotiations, and there is a higher chance of reaching a deal before.
In recent days, talks have been held between Israel, Egypt, and the US on bringing the Egyptian proposal closer to the Israeli proposal. These talks were without the involvement of Hamas.
Hamas has not yet seen the proposal, and there is currently no indication whether it will agree to it, an official with knowledge told the Post.

The Supreme Court on Thursday upheld a lower court's decision to facilitate the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran national living in Maryland, from an El Salvador prison where federal officials sent hundreds of suspected criminals and gang members in March.
Abrego Garcia, 29, was deported to the El Salvadoran megaprison last month for being an alleged MS-13 gang member, but his attorneys maintain he does not have any gang ties.
U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis ordered federal officials to coordinate his return back to Maryland in a Monday order, calling his deportation "wholly unlawful." On Thursday, the Supreme Court sided with Xinis. "On March 15, 2025, the United States removed Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia from the United States to El Salvador, where...
The Trump administration was handed another win on Thursday after a federal judge ruled that everyone in the U.S. illegally must register with the federal government and carry documentation.
The Associated Press reported that Judge Trevor Neil McFadden, who was appointed by President Donald Trump, sided with the administration after arguing it was enforcing an existing requirement for everyone in the country who is not a citizen of the U.S.
Rather than rule on the substance of the Trump administration’s arguments, McFadden ruled that the group pushing to stop the requirement did not have standing to pursue their claims.
McFadden’s ruling will go into effect Friday.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said Thursday that the deadline to register...

The Pesach Mindset
The following are words of inspiration from Rav Yaakov Edelstein zt”l, the rabbi of the city Ramat Hasharon. This is how the Rav would conduct himself during these days:
While waiting in long lines, he would look at the masses of people and say with a smile, “How beautiful— the holy Jewish people are busy getting ready for Pesach.”
He emphasized how much this holiday is supposed to be filled with joy. Once he went to visit a woman who was feeling frazzled due to Pesach preparations. He talked to her until she was able to calm down and understand that all the preparations must be done with a desire for renewal—with a longing to eliminate chametz from your hous...
Nw York, NY - April 10, 2025 - A helicopter with at least two people aboard crashed in the Hudson River Thursday afternoon, according to the NYPD and sources with knowledge of the investigation.
A report of the downed aircraft near the West Side Highway and Spring Street came in shortly after 3 p.m. Two rescue officials said one person had been pulled from the chopper and life-saving efforts were underway. A second person was being pulled from the helicopter in unknown condition, the officials say.
It wasn't clear how many people were on the helicopter, nor where it was headed or had come from.
Emergency boats appeared to be responding to the upside-down chopper, Citizen app footage showed.
In 1957, rockabilly singer Bob Ehret repeated, "We’ve got to stop the clock, baby; to spend more time with you" — and in a Senate Commerce Committee hearing, lawmakers from both sides of the aisle strongly considered the benefits of doing so, in a way.
Chairman Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said Daylight Saving was grounded in good-faith efforts to reduce energy consumption, but that instead it has led to increased auto accidents in the dark, workplace issues and objections from the agriculture sector that relies on early-morning sunlight.
"We find ourselves adjusting our clocks… springing forward and falling back in the fall. For many Americans, this biannual ritual is a minor inconvenience… But when we take a closer look at the implications of changing the cloc...

In a massive victory for President Donald Trump and Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., the House of Representatives passed a bill Thursday that will set the stage for a massive conservative policy overhaul.
The legislation passed mostly along party lines on Thursday morning after a long night of negotiations between House GOP leaders and fiscal hawks who were critical of its spending cut levels.
Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., and Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., held a press conference on Thursday morning in a bid to allay conservatives' concerns.
"I'm happy to tell you that this morning, I believe we have the votes to finally adopt the budget resolution so we can move forward on President Trump's very important agenda for the American people," Johnson said. "...
Jerusalem, Israel - April 10, 2025 - This is the perfect opportunity to take a break from all the arduous Passover cleaning, grab yourself a nice glass of smooth Kedem Apple Juice, with ice, sit back and enjoy this brilliant news update. It hardly gets better than this. A flurry of pre-Passover international diplomatic activity this week. After an exceptionally friendly visit in Hungary, Prime Minister Netanyahu traveled to DC to meet with also very friendly President Trump and other US Administration officials. In Hungary, not only was Netanyahu not arrested, despite an official request from the International Criminal Court, but Hungary just up and quit the whole stupid thing. Boom! There were rumors that Hungary would announce that they would be moving their embassy to Jerusalem, but it ...
Jerusalem, Israel - April 10, 2025 - Israel’s population is expected to double in the coming decades, yet the country is already facing a severe housing shortage. To meet the current demand alone, Israel would need to deliver the keys to 200,000 apartments. This raises a pressing question: where can tiny Israel, which is no larger than the state of New Jersey, find enough land for development?
One important solution is to increase residential and business centers, primarily in the south. Several organizations are actively working on this, and progress is being made. But for those who want to live in Israel’s major population centers, the most viable solution is Pinuy Binuy – a large-scale urban renewal program that replaces outdated, low-density buildings with modern hig...
