The decision to pronounce the four hostages dead was based on intelligence and was confirmed by a Ministry of Health expert committee, in coordination with the Ministry of Religious Services and the Chief Rabbi of Israel.

Baltimore, MD - June 3, 2024 - On Saturday, salvage crews completed the lift of a 470-short-ton (940,000 pounds) steel section of Francis Scot Key Bridge truss from the federal navigation channel, according to a recent post from U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District.
Buried deep in the river mudline, the section was part of the massive steel truss that pinned the The Dali for seven weeks.
The current specs of the Unified Command's "limited access channel" (50-foot depth x 400-foot width) allows all shipping traffic to enter/exit the Port of Baltimore.
These final lifts are an important next step to re-opening the full 700-foot width of the navigation channel.

Baltimore, MD - June 3, 2024 - Mayor Brandon Scott and the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs (MIMA) announced the extension of the city’s Key Bridge Emergency Response Fund on Friday, May 31.
The fund was originally introduced shortly after the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge on March 26. MIMA set up the emergency effort through the Baltimore Civic Fund, and it has received support from Baltimore City and people from around the world to collect over $800,000 to help survivors and the victim's families who were directly impacted by the collapse.
