Baltimore, MD - Jan. 16, 2019 - In the first aliyah (section) of Parshas Beshalach, the Jews turn back toward Mitzrayim, and the Egyptians come to chase after them. Hashem is setting the stage for the complete destruction of the Egyptians to demonstrate His absolute power. The end of the powerful Egyptians teaches Bnei Yisroel the fundamental message of Hashem's total control over everything, giving them the eternal knowledge and understanding that no other nation or force has power other than Him.
