Baltimore, MD - Oct. 30, 2017 - Yeshivas Chofetz Chaim – Talmudical Academy of Baltimore has been at the forefront of Torah chinuch in Baltimore for more than a century.  Having just celebrated its 100th year, the Yeshiva is now poised to serve our community’s children with an enhanced campus and more resources.

This September, TA will open with an additional 75,000 square feet of space, and fully renovated educational areas.  The addition of brand new, state-of-the-art Early Childhood and Mesivta facilities will allow each of TA’s 4 divisions – Early Childhood (3- 5 year olds), Elementary School (1st-5th grade), Middle School (6th-8th grade), and Mesivta (9th-12th grade) – to operate out of separate buildings, giving them ample space to expand and improve educational programs.

The new Early Childhood building will feature 17 new classrooms, tutor and reading rooms, a library, music room, PT/OT room, large multi-purpose “fun room”, and 2 playgrounds.  The building will also include a Mikva for the use of the adjacent Scotts Hill community.  With the opening of this new building, TA will be expanding its current 3-year old program with an additional class in the fall.

The new Mesivta building will include a large, beautiful Bais Medrash which will doubly serve as the new shul for the Scotts Hill community, kitchen and cafeteria facilities, 12 new classrooms, computer and science labs, library, additional spaces for tutors and supplemental educational programs, and a new gymnasium.

Plans for renovating the current educational buildings are also underway.  While some minor improvements were made this past summer, the bulk of the work will take place next summer.  Both of the current educational buildings on campus will be upgraded with new lighting, flooring, doors and painting, in addition to upgrading the infrastructure throughout the building to provide better technology and communication between buildings, and within the classrooms.

At the conclusion of this project in September, all of TA’s over 1,000 talmidim with iy”H benefit from a beautiful, green and spacious completed campus encompassing 6 buildings, 3 Batei Medrashim, 2 cafeterias, 5 outdoor play areas, 3 gymnasiums, and many additional parking spaces, all designed to help TA’s administrators, Rabbeim and teachers instill ahavas Hatorah, foster simchas hachaim, develop midos tovos, and cultivate greatness in every single TA student.

Prospective parents are invited to find out more about TA by scheduling a tour or by attending an Early Childhood Open House on November 12th, 8:00 PM at the home of Ori and Tami Feld, 3302 Fallstaff Road.  For more information, please call Mrs. Debbie Langer at 410-484-6600 x355 or email dlanger@talmudicalacademy.org.
