Uber Driver Arrested In Midtown Manhattan

NY, NY - Aug. 10, 2017  - This Uber driver was uber mad!

Cops arrested a driver for the popular app they say attacked an NYPD traffic enforcement agent in Midtown Thursday.

Witnesses called 911 after they saw the irate Uber motorist arguing with the traffic agent on Seventh Ave. near W. 56th St. about 7:50 a.m.

The driver punched the agent in the face and sped off, according to police.

Cops tracked him to Seventh Ave. and 42nd St., where he was taken into custody. Charges against him were pending and his name was not immediately released.

The traffic agent was not seriously harmed, officials said.

A Taxi & Limousine Commission Uber sticker was on the suspect’s vehicle. It wasn’t clear if he was driving for Uber at the time of his arrest.
