Prep for Purim by assembling delicious hamantaschen – ready for baking at home – during this fun, hands-on experience perfect for all women and children, elementary age and older. Children will get to bring home mishloach manot bags (traditional gifts sent on Purim)

Join the Jewish Museum of Maryland as it launches its cutting-edge exhibit on Jews and medicine in the 20th century. Exhibit features hands-on activities, multimedia effects and 200 artifacts, documents and images ranging from the 19th century to the current genomic age. Stop by opening weekend to hear Dr. Alan Kraut of American University speak about healthcare’s role in immigrant assimilation.

Seth Meyerowitz will talk about his grandfather, Bronx-born top turret-gunner, Arthor Meyerowitz, who was shot down in Nazi-occupied France in 1943. After fleeing the wreck, Arthur knocked on the door of an isolated farmhouse, whose owners took him in.
