Baltimore, MD – Feb. 19, 2016 - Ahavas Yisrael Purim cards are unique in the following ways. Card sales grow each year as people like the fact that the proceeds of the project are used as Matanos L’evyonim and the funds are distributed on Purim day as the Mitzvah requires.

The card designed by Staiman Designs is very festive and very colorful. Most unique is the Purim Lotto where the family receiving the card has a scratch off game. If under the scratch off they are declared a winner they are instructed to call a number. Once reaching the prize center they pick a number which corresponds to a prize they are awarded. Then they are asked who sent the winning card and this year, a new twist, the sender will also be awarded a prize. So, both receiver and sender are winners!

Prizes range from a $500 shopping card for 7 Mile Market and  Season’s Supermarket, or an Avraham Cohen framed lithograph, to many wonderful gift certificates at many local stores and eateries. Good luck to all and Happy Purim. You gotta play to win!

By the way if you are driving on Purim morning you will probably encounter one of Ahavas Yisrael’s optional Toll Booths. Our hard working volunteers will be collecting funds to be given out on Purim Day for needy persons and families. Our toll booths are very successful and very well received in the Purim spirit by the community. The booths will operate from 10 am to 2 pm on Purim day. If you and your family want to volunteer to work at our toll booths call Shmuel Hyatt 410-218-5466 or Eli W. Schlossberg 443-621-0298
