Jerusalem, Israel - Sept. 26, 2015 - Preparations for Sukkot, are found around Jerusalem, Israel. A small sukkah was under construction in a public area on the Tayelet, on the Haas Promendade, with the Old City seen in the distance. The huge sukkot near the Kotel were getting truck loads of shach delivered.
The Machana Yehudah market was filled with shoppers looking for everything from fresh fish to ripe pomegranates.
Etrogim and lulavim are sold in many locations, on the streets of the Old City and in the large market across from Machane Yehudah. And, as every year, careful inspection was made before purchasing.
Look up and see wooden and fabric sukkot. Look down alleyways and they are there. In some neighborhoods, every empty spot has a sukkah.
