Baltimore, MD - July 19, 2025 - A police chase in central Pennsylvania ended in the arrest of six juveniles linked to a suspected organized crime ring responsible for a string of burglaries operating in Baltimore and its surrounding areas.
According to the Susquehanna Township Police Department, the incident began around 3:40 a.m. on July 16 when an automated license plate reader flagged a stolen vehicle near North Progress Avenue and Linglestown Road.
Officers located the vehicle backed up to the storefront of Jawns on Fire, a business in the Blue Mountain Commons shopping center.
As police approached, the suspects fled the scene in the vehicle, allegedly taking over $50,000 in stolen and damaged merchandise.
Officers from Susquehanna Township, with support from Swatara Township and Lower Paxton Township police, initiated a pursuit that ended in Lower Paxton Township after law enforcement used intervention tactics to stop the vehicle.
All six juvenile occupants attempted to run but were apprehended through a coordinated effort between the agencies.
Following the arrests, investigators shared information with surrounding agencies, which led to the discovery that the juveniles were suspected members of an organized crime ring tied to multiple other burglaries, vehicle thefts, and crimes against the public stretching into Baltimore and neighboring areas in Maryland.
The Susquehanna Township would like to thank our Law Enforcement partners at Lower Paxton and Swatara Townships for their assistance in apprehending these suspects which will solve cases in multiple Counties in Pennsylvania and Maryland.
