New Speed Cameras to Go Live in Baltimore County School Zones

Towson, MD – May 12, 2025 – The Baltimore County Police Department has announced the activation of six new speed cameras in four designated school zones, set to begin operating on Monday, May 19, 2025.

The new camera locations include:

For the first 30 days, drivers exceeding the posted speed limit by 12 mph or more will receive warnings instead of citations.

All camera zones are clearly marked with signage. According to state law, Baltimore County’s speed cameras operate Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., including during summer months and non-school days.

Authorities urge motorists to drive safely, particularly in school zones, where enforcement measures aim to protect children and families.
