JCC Park Heights Detailed Construction Updates Beginning March 13, 2025

Baltimore, MD - March 9, 2025:

Dear JCC Community, 

We are excited to announce that we are entering the third phase of construction on the Park Heights Campus. In the upcoming days and weeks, we will open new fitness studios and welcome you back through our previous lobby location.  Please note that the main entrance will continue to be through the Atrium. We will alert you to the opening of our new main entrance as soon as it is confirmed. 

TAKE NOTE OF THE UPCOMING CHANGES – BY DATE(S)

March 13 

• Gymnasium will close temporarily as we transition space to become temporary home of the Fitness Center and Fitness Too. This space will not be available for basketball or other recreational activities until January 2026.  We encourage members to utilize our Owings Mills JCC gymnasiums during this time.
• No group fitness classes on March 13 & 14 for the Purim holiday.  

March 16 

• New FLOW and EMPOWER Studios will open for classes. Located on the lower-level 
• NRG will close for renovation. 

March 20-28 

• Family changing room will be closed so it can be retrofitted to prepare for alternating male/female temporary locker room set up. 

March 23-30 

The following new spaces will open off the new Main Lobby, possibly before new building entrance opens:  

• Jewish Library of Baltimore 
• Art Studio 
• The Associated staff offices 
• JCC Programming offices 
• JCC Membership office 
• Multipurpose Rooms 

March 23

• Cycling classes will move to Auditorium 
• Babysitting and J Play Afternoons will not be available through March 30.  

March 24-28 

• Fitness Center & Fitness Too will close on the lower level for extended renovations. These facilities will not be available during this time as we move all equipment to the retrofitted Gymnasium.  

Late March/Early April 

• New main entrance to the building will open off the main parking lot. 
• Accessible parking will move back to main parking lot near entrance. 

March 30  

• JCC Fitness Center and Fitness Too will reopen in the Gymnasium. Please follow signs for new access to this space. 
• Men’s and Women’s Locker rooms will close for renovations.  
• Retrofitted Family Changing Room will open with separate male and female hours.  Schedule coming soon. 

March 31 

• Babysitting and youth and adult programming will reopen in Studio J on the main level.
