Jerusalem, Israel - March 5, 2025 - As part of a longstanding tradition, the incoming 24th IDF Chief-of-Staff, Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir, and the outgoing Chief-of-Staff, Lt.-Gen. Herzi Halevi, visited the Kotel Plaza this morning (Wednesday) for tefilah.

The tefilah was attended by the Rabbi of the Western Wall and Holy Sites, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, and the IDF Chief Rabbi, Brig.-Gen. Rabbi Eyal Karim.

The Chiefs-of-Staff recited Tehillim and davened for the well-being of IDF soldiers and the security of the state, with a special prayer for the return of the hostages and missing persons.

At the conclusion of the joint tefilah, both generals offered personal tefilot and placed notes between the stones of the Kotel. At the end of their visit, they signed the guest book of the Western Wall Heritage Foundation.
