The Israeli Defense Ministry and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) signed a multi-billion-shekel contract Wednesday to significantly increase the supply of Arrow-3 missile defense interceptors for the IDF.

The agreement, spearheaded by the Israel Missile Defense Organization (IMDO) within the Directorate of Defense Research and Development (DDR&D), will enhance Israel’s air defense capabilities. The Arrow-3, jointly developed with the U.S., counters long-range ballistic missile threats and demonstrated remarkable success during recent conflicts, including intercepting missiles from Iran and the Houthi militia in Yemen.

Key highlights include:

IAI CEO Boaz Levy and Defense Minister Israel Katz emphasized the technological and strategic importance of the system. “The Arrow-3 represents Israeli innovation and resilience,” Levy said, while Katz called the agreement a “strategic milestone.”

This contract ensures the IDF is well-prepared for emerging threats and reinforces Israel's technological independence and defense infrastructure.
