Juvenile Suspects In North Baltimore Carjacking Released To Parents After Arrest

Baltimore, MD - Dec. 13, 2024  - Four juvenile suspects in a North Baltimore carjacking were released to their parents after being arrested Thursday afternoon according to police.

At around 8:37 a.m., officers responded to a gas station in the 5600 block of York Road for reports of an unarmed carjacking, police said. When police arrived, officers learned that the 81-year-old woman was approached by a black male, approximately 16-20 years old, who grabbed her keys from her hand and pushed his way inside her vehicle and fled the location in the victim's sedan.

Police said that at approximately 12:45 p.m. with the assistance of Foxtrot Aviation officers, RATT units (Regional Auto Theft Taskforce) were able to locate the vehicle in the 5400 block of York Road and arrest a 15-year-old girl and three 15-year-old boys.

According to police, the three boys, who are not strangers to law enforcement, have a prior handgun violation arrest, burglary, and aggravated assault.

Officers transported all four juvenile suspects to the Juvenile Justice Center where they were all released to the the custody of their parents.
