Suspected Terror Attack at Glilot Junction: 35 Injured, Including Several in Serious Condition

Ramat Hasharon, Israel - October 27, 2024 – A suspected terror attack occurred early Sunday morning when a truck struck a bus and multiple pedestrians at the Glilot junction near Ramat Hasharon. Emergency responders from Magen David Adom (MDA) and United Hatzalah are actively working at the scene.

The collision resulted in 35 casualties, including 6 people in serious condition, 5 in moderate condition, and 20 with mild injuries. An additional 4 individuals are being treated for anxiety. Emergency teams have been transporting the injured to various hospitals, including Ichilov, Belinson, Meir, Laniado, Shamir-Assaf Harofeh, and Sheba at Tel Hashomer.

United Hatzalah volunteer EMTs, including Aharon Yaakobson and Eliyah Tubul, were among the first to arrive on the scene, describing a chaotic and difficult situation. Several victims were initially trapped under the truck and had to be extricated by fire crews. The United Hatzalah Psychotrauma and Crisis Response Unit provided support to those suffering from emotional trauma.

In response to the high number of injuries, MDA Blood Services supplied 90 units of blood to support the treatment of the injured across the hospitals. The incident remains under investigation, with updates expected as the situation unfolds.
