Ramat Gan, Tel Aviv - Aug. 18, 2024  - This morning (Sunday), employees of the Jewish National Fund (KKL), led by the chairman of the workers' union, Israel Goldstein, visited the orthopedic rehabilitation department at Tel Hashomer Hospital, where IDF soldiers injured over the past ten months since the start of the "Iron Swords" War are being treated.

During the visit, workers met with soldiers who were injured in the battles and gave them dozens of laptops and tablets worth thousands of shekels, with the thought of helping the injured soldiers go through the grueling rehabilitation process in the best possible way and providing them with the ability to enjoy their leisure time between the many treatments.

According to data from the Rehabilitation Department of the Ministry of Defense, the number of wounded who have reached the department has surpassed ten thousand. These are unprecedented numbers, as since October, IDF soldiers and security forces have been working tirelessly day and night to ensure victory over terrorist organizations, the return of hostages, and the resettlement of evacuees to communities in the north and south.

The meeting between KKL - JNF workers and the soldiers was particularly emotional, during which the workers' union also expressed its gratitude to the medical staff who are doing everything possible to treat the soldiers, assist them in the rehabilitation process, and restore them to their best.

Chairman of KKL - JNF's national workers' union, Israel Goldstein, concluded: "This visit is just a very small part of the immense appreciation we feel for our heroic soldiers. At KKL - JNF, we will continue to lend a hand and support those who are fighting for us every moment. The gift is given with the thought of helping the injured soldiers go through the grueling rehabilitation process better and providing them with the ability to enjoy their leisure time between the many treatments. These are our sons and daughters, and we must do everything to take care of them and remind them that we support and appreciate their efforts."
