Baltimore, MD – June 21, 2024 – (PP) Maryland is expected to experience near-record temperatures this Shabbos and Sunday, with highs close to 100 degrees and heat indices reaching up to 110 degrees. The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat watch, warning of "dangerously hot conditions" and a high risk for heat-related illnesses.
The forecast at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport is:
• Friday: Sunny, high near 96, low around 73.
• Shabbos: Mostly sunny, high near 99, heat index up to 103, slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, low around 78.
• Sunday: Mostly sunny, high near 99, chance of showers and thunderstorms, low around 75.
Temperatures will remain high into next week, with chances of showers and thunderstorms.
