Sources in the Hamas terror group have said that the Egyptian proposal for a prisoner swap deal is the best offer presented in recent months.
Arab media claims that Israel has agreed to significantly compromise on a number of points which the terror group insisted on.
According to the reports, Israel is willing to compromise on its presence in Gaza on the day after the war, and will not prevent Gazans from who left their homes from returning.
It was also reported that Hamas will continue to rule Gaza, and there will be no international or Arab forces replacing it.
London's Al-Quds Al-Arabi reported that there are still disagreements regarding the scope of Israel's withdrawal from the Netzarim area, as well as regarding the number of terrorists to be released in the deal and their identities, and regarding a permanent ceasefire.
It was also reported that Israel agreed to allow residents of northern Gaza to return to their homes - in an unlimited fashion.
