BGE Working To Restore Power To 2,300 Customers During High Winds In Maryland

BGE is reporting that at least 2,300 customers are currently without power due to high winds moving throughout Maryland.

BGE appreciates customers' patience as crews and contractors work around the clock to restore service as safely and quickly as possible, representatives said in a recent release. The March 10-11 windstorm continues to impact customers, with 2,300 customers currently out of service as of 11:00 a.m.

Since the storm began on Sunday, BGE says they have completed more than 200 repair jobs and restored service to more than 30,000 customers—over 90 percent of the customers impacted by the wind event.

BGE anticipates the vast majority of the remaining outages to be restored by Monday evening at 11:00 p.m.

High wind gusts are expected to continue throughout this afternoon with conditions improving this evening and early Tuesday morning.
