Baltimore, MD - Mar. 6, 2024 - The FDA issued a warning about ground cinnamon sold at discount stores nationwide, citing elevated lead levels. No reported illnesses have been linked to the products, but the FDA advises against consuming or purchasing certain brands and urges retailers to voluntarily recall them.

Through product testing, the FDA has determined that the ground cinnamon products listed in the table here https://t.ly/dWHHr contain elevated levels of lead and that prolonged exposure to these products may be unsafe.
