Closing arguments are set for later this Monday in the mortgage fraud trial of former City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby.
The case could go to the jury later today.
Mosby told the court last week she plans to appeal her perjury conviction from last year.
In the perjury case, Mosby faces a maximum sentence of five years in federal prison for each of the two federal counts.
Also during cross-examination last week, Mosby admitted that she knew she had tax issues in July 2020 when she reviewed, signed off on and submitted mortgage applications that said otherwise in purchasing a Florida home.
