The National Public Diplomacy Directorate, a unit within the Prime Minister's Office, today (Wednesday, 3 January 2024), held an extensive national exercise that simulated a multi-front campaign.

Over 25 spokespersons' and public diplomacy agencies – including Government ministries, the IDF, the National Emergency Authority, the Israel Police and the national emergency and security bodies – participated in the exercise.

The various agencies practiced emergency scenarios that simulated an extensive war on several fronts, and the public diplomacy and spokespersons' responses.

Head of the National Public Diplomacy Directorate, Moshe Aviv [translated from Hebrew]:

"The goal of the exercise is to advance readiness in the field of public diplomacy and spokespersons' work on a national level. The public diplomacy actions of all agencies from the start of the war have supported the military action in order to create freedom to operate for it.

We are continuing to make every effort to be ready for any scenario, both within Israel and internationally, as the body that leads the national public diplomacy policy with the cooperation of all of the various Government and emergency bodies in Israel."
