Rabbi Yisrael Sruli Motzen, Rav of Ner Tamid, Offers a "Rabbi Shmuel Silber Appreciation Post"

Rabbi Yisrael Motzen, rav of Ner Tamid Congregation was among the 40 rabanim who were part of an OU delgation bringing chizuk to our holy chayalim in person in Eretz Yisrael this week. He offers this "Rabbi Shmuel Silber appreciation post."

Jerusalem, Israel - Nov. 1, 2023  - Despite going to sleep at ridiculous hours he has been giving an early morning daf every morning. Between our visits, he’s preparing on the bus.
It was also his idea to divide meseches Taanis among the participants to make a siyum tomorrow. The Kol Torah, the sweet sound of Torah permeates the bus daily.
As the rest of us were dancing with the chayalim last night he was going around collecting funds from all of us to give to the new bride and groom.
And at every home, as we try to find the words to share with people whose lives have been turned upside down, it’s Rabbi Silber who is finding the words that penetrate and comfort their broken hearts.
