Baltimore, MD - Sept. 9, 2023 - How are boys supposed to know what to do at their friends' Bar Mitzvahs?
They're not.
So at TA, we teach them.
Yesterday was our 7th grade Mock Bar Mitzvah. The boys are dressed up in Shabbos finery. The ambiance is set. The food is befitting such an occasion. We teach them how to dance. We teach them how to shake someone's hand. We teach them how to say Mazel Tov to the parents of the Bar Mitzvah Boy. We teach them to let the adults go first. We teach them to make a plate of food for their Rebbi. Chinuch is more than knowledge and good grades. This is chinuch. #talmudicalacademy #chinuch
