Baltimore, MD - Sept. 6, 2023  - Heat advisories are in effect across the Baltimore-DC region, with record-breaking temperatures expected for the third consecutive day, according to Pikesville Patch. The heat advisory, which lasts from noon to 7 p.m., warns of temperatures that could feel like 105 degrees. Several counties in Maryland, as well as Washington, D.C., are affected by the advisory. Previous heat records at area airports have already been broken this week. Some relief is expected later in the week with a 30-60% chance of precipitation, potentially bringing showers and thunderstorms. The National Weather Service advises taking precautions such as staying hydrated and in air-conditioned spaces, and avoiding strenuous activities during peak heat hours.
