Jerusalem, Israel - June 16, 2023 - Based in a building in Jerusalem, near the main central bus station, Temech has worked towards empowering Jewish women and making a profound impact on their lives. Through its various initiatives and programs, Temech has achieved remarkable successes, enabling frum women to overcome challenges and realize their full potential.
First led for 10 years by former CEO Shaidy Babad, Temech has played a pivotal role in fostering entrepreneurship among Jewish women, offering them invaluable support and resources to establish and grow their businesses.
The organization provides comprehensive training programs and workshops covering crucial aspects such as business planning, marketing strategies, financial management, and leadership skills. By equipping women with the necessary tools and knowledge, Temech has empowered countless individuals to launch successful enterprises and become self-sufficient, contributing to the economic development of their communities.
Recognizing the significance of professional development, Temech has implemented initiatives to facilitate career growth, especially for young Haredi women. The organization offers mentorship programs, connecting experienced professionals with aspiring individuals seeking guidance and support. Through these mentorship relationships, women are able to access valuable insights, expand their networks, and gain the confidence to pursue their desired career paths.
The Temech HUB for women only, also provides women without internet service at home a secure and attractive space to work and meet clients.
A highlight of the year is the annual Temech Conference, now held in the Jerusalem International Conference Center to accommodate the hundreds of women who attend.
On Wednesday, at the 12th Temech Conference, Gvira Milworm, CEO of Temech, opened the Hebrew program and then addressed the English group, also seated at tables in the smaller room. Her apologizing for not immediately retrieving a word from Hebrew to say in English or being "semi-lingual" as she joked, was appreciated by the businesswomen present who have language issues on a daily basis. After her remarks about the conference titled Binah Yeseirah, Gvira thanked her mother who was present listening to her twice. At the end of her time on stage, Gvira surprised her mother with flowers in honor of her birthday.
The number of women attending the Hebrew track greatly outnumbered the English content which was opened by Rabbi Shmuel Bloom, who was a founder of Temech when he served as Executive Vice President of Agudath Israel of America.
Other speakers in the English sessions included Bassi Gruen, Rabbi Nechemya Malinowitz, Shuey Fogel, Lior Arussy, and Rebbetzin Tzivia Tukachinsky.
Temech's remarkable achievements in empowering Jewish women are a testament to their unwavering dedication and commitment to their cause. Through its focus on entrepreneurship, professional development, and social welfare, Temech has transformed the lives of countless women in Jerusalem and beyond.
By providing the necessary tools, resources, and support systems, Temech has enabled Jewish women to thrive, contributing to their communities and shaping a brighter future. Networking at the Temech Conferences is an opportunity to meet and speak with women from outside your little sphere and make valuable connections.
Plus, the day opens with a breakfast buffet and concludes with a sit-down mehadrin kosher fleishich lunch with entertainment, enticing women to come from as far away as Tzfat.
