Jerusalem, Israel – Apr. 25, 2023 - On Yom Hazikaron, various ceremonies and events take place throughout Israel, including at Har Herzl.
Har Herzl serves as the national cemetery of Israel and is also the final resting place for many prominent figures in Israeli history, as well as soldiers and victims of terrorism.
This morning the keil maleh rachamim was recited at the official state ceremony held at the military cemetery on Har Herzl, which is attended by high-ranking government and military officials, bereaved families, and thousands of citizens. With over 100,000 people in attendance, it demonstrates the deep sense of solidarity and national unity that characterizes Yom Hazikaron.
