Jerusalem, Israel - Apr. 25, 2023 - For the first time at the Kotel on the morning of Memorial Day: after the siren, hundreds of worshippers and visitors gathered for an emotional recitation of Tehilim in memory of those who fell in Israel's battles and terrorist attacks.

Immediately after the siren, an emotional ceremony of reciting Tehilim for the elevation of the souls of those who fell in Israel's battles and terrorist attacks was held at the Kotel, attended by the Rabbi of the Western Wall and Holy Sites, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, the Minister of Construction and Housing, Rabbi Yitzhak Goldknopf, the Director of the Western Wall Heritage Foundation, Mordechai (Suli) Eliav, and hundreds of worshippers and visitors present at the Western Wall Plaza.

The Rabbi of the Western Wall and Holy Sites recited Psalm 16 for the souls of the fallen, followed by the recitation of Kaddish and the prayer of "Keil Maleh Rachamim" by cantor Eli Cohen.

May their memory be a blessing.
