Baltimore County investigators are still trying to determine a motive for Monday night's shooting death of a Baltimore teenager near the Towson Circle.
"This was an argument between two groups of individuals, not toward the public at large," said County Executive Johnny Olszewski who spent Tuesday attempting to ally concerns.
However, in the past three weeks, the center of Towson has been plagued with violence. Another shooting, a stabbing, and three rapes have happened just feet from the Towson Circle.
"We're openly exploring all avenues to keep Towson safe," said Olszewski.
State Delegate Nino Mangione says Towson has become a product of a softer approach toward crime.
"We spend far too much time talking about coddling criminals and not how we stop them," said Mangione.
Olszewski says more officers have now been assigned to the Towson area and other resources are also being discussed.
"If you have any intention of coming into our neighborhood and committing crime, let me tell you, 'don't do it," said Olszewski.
