A new traffic pattern will start Sunday at the Fort McHenry Tunnel.
The Maryland Transportation Authority announced that weather permitting, there will be two highway-speed lanes and two standard toll plaza lanes on southbound Interstate 95.
Southbound tolls will be collected via a new overhead electronic toll gantry located just outside the tunnel entrance.
Motorists traveling in the left two lanes will use the left tube of the tunnel. Commercial vehicles and motorists using Exit 55/Key Highway should keep right and use the right tube of the tunnel.
Motorists entering southbound I-95 from Keith Avenue are advised to use caution when merging with traffic.
