Baltimore, MD – Sept. 19, 2022 - 22 Elul, 5782 - Kehilas Tiferes Yisroel, fondly known as Rabbi Goldberger's shul, was zocheh to celebrate the dedication of a new Sefer Torah, as we approach the Yomim Noraim. The Sefer Torah, sponsored by the shul and the community at large, was dedicated in honor of Rabbi Menachem and Rebbetzin Bracha Goldberger's 36 years of devoted service to our wonderful community. This momentous occasion of the Hachnosas Sefer Torah was the culmination of a number of events held over the summer, as part of the Tiferes Yisroel Celebration of Torah, featuring shiurim from Rabbi Yosef Berger, Rabbi Yehuda Leib Goldberger, Rabbi Dovid Heber, Rabbi Elie Levi, Rabbi Yehoshua Nissan and Rabbi Daniel Rose.

A vast swath of the Baltimore community joined together as the Sefer Torah was escorted with ebullient song and dance down Park Heights Ave., thanks to the assistance of the Baltimore Police Department and Shomrim of Baltimore, from the Goldberger home to the front lawn of Kehilas Tiferes Yisroel, accompanied by the uplifting music of Nossi Gross and the Zemer Orchestra. The dancing continued in the shul, as all the Sifrei Torah welcomed the new Sefer Torah, amidst tremendous joy and honor.

The singing and dancing came to a crescendo with Divrei Pesicha from Rabbi Shlomo Goldberger, and magnificent Divrei Torah and Hisorirus, delivered by Rabbi Menachem Goldberger, Rabbi Moshe Heinemann, & Rabbi Yaakov Hopfer.

To conclude the festivities, a Gala Seuda befitting of such a glorious event was held outside the shul in a marvelously decorated tent, with a delicious spread from the The Knish Shop, magnificently prepared and presented by Mrs. Sarah Beck. At the close of the seuda, beautiful Divrei Bracha were offered by Rabbi Boruch Neuberger and Rabbi Menachem Goldberger, further elevating the already heightened kedushas and simchas hayom.

May Kehilas Tiferes Yisroel, and the entire Baltimore community, merit to share in many more inspiring occasions to celebrate and honor Toraseinu HaKedosha.
