Baltimore, MD – Sept. 14, 2022 - It is with regret that Baltimore Jewish Life (BJL) informs the community of the petira of R’ Avrahom Kessler, Z’L, husband of Elka Malka Kessler, and father of Shmuel Yaakov Kessler, Hersch Leib “Herschel” Kessler, Esther Chana Grunblatt, Liba Zisel Tevel, Chaim Mordechai Kessler, Chaya Mushka Morris, Kayla Masha Bialo, Yitzchok Zev Volf “Yitzie” Kessler, Schneur Zalman “Zalmy”  Kessler, Menachem Mendel Chanoch “Mendy”  Kessler and Basya Rivka “Basie” Kessler. 

Baltimore Shiva is being observed at 7921 Stevenson Road, 21208.


Shacharis (NO Selichos): 9:30 (including Tuesday)
Mincha/Maariv: 7:00

Visiting Sunday - Monday: 9:00-12:00 and 3:00-9:00 (No visitors between 12:00-3:00)

 


He is survived by his beloved wife, Elka Malka, and leaves a great legacy of his 11 children and many grandchildren: Shmuel Yaakov (Cleveland), Hersch Leib “Herschel” (Atlanta), Esther Chana Grunblatt (New Haven), Liba Zisel Tevel (Crown Heights), Chaim Mordechai (Baltimore), Chaya Mushka Morris (Atlanta), Kayla Masha Bialo (North Miami Beach), Yitzchok Zev Volf “Yitzie” (Miami), Schneur Zalman “Zalmy” (New Haven), Menachem Mendel Chanoch “Mendy” (Atlanta) and Basya Rivka “Basie” (Crown Heights).


The Levaya will take place today, Wednesday, at Shomrei Hadas in Boro Park at 1 pm and passing by 770 at 2 pm.

2:45 burial at Old Montefiore Cemetery.


The family will be sitting Shiva at 37 Ralph Place in Morristown
