Shortly after 4:30 p.m. today in Israel, a report was received at the Fire and Rescue District Control Center in Yerushalayim about a fire at a building in the Geulah neighborhood, and it was further reported that there was a fear of people being trapped.

Senior officers from the Yerushalayim Police, Fire Brigade and MDA arrived at the scene of the fire and are conducting an assessment of the situation.

A father is reporting that his two daughters were missing and one of them has not yet been found. Efforts are being made to locate her.

Firefighters and rescue workers rushed to the scene and found a fire spreading in the six-story building. Three teams operated at the site with the help of a crane .

Kobi Mendelson, a paramedic from Ichud Hatzolah, along with Dovid Reichman, are working in an attempt to locate all the people believed to have been in the building.

A 70-year-old women suffered from smoke inhalation and is in stable condition. A 6-year-old sustained burns and has been treated.

Preliminary reports indicate that there are more people trapped in the people due to thick smoke that has spread to the upper floors.
