Ohr Chadash Academy (OCA) Announces Appointment of Mrs. Elisheva Levitt as New Elementary School Principal

Baltimore, MD - Apr. 7, 2022 - We are delighted to announce that Mrs. Elisheva Levitt has been named OCA’s Elementary School principal to begin July 1, 2022.

A 20-year veteran of Jewish Day School teaching and leadership, Mrs. Levitt's educational experience includes having served as Elementary School general studies principal, teacher mentor, general and Judaic studies teacher, and youth and camp director in Rockville, Silver Spring, Houston, and Boca Raton.

Mrs. Levitt graduated from Stern College for Women with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and is completing a master's in Jewish Education at the Azrieli Graduate School of Yeshiva University, focusing on constructivist approaches in Jewish education. As an educational leader who herself is always learning, Mrs. Levitt has also received leadership training through YOU Lead and Better Lesson mentoring programs, specifically on the application of problem-based learning and technology integration in classroom instruction.

A warm, caring, and engaging individual, Mrs. Levitt’s special interests as a school leader are in building a cohesive and collaborative school community, valuing strong relationships with students and parents, supporting and mentoring teachers, developing and integrating general and Judaic studies curricula, and designing creative instructional programming.

Mrs. Levitt is married to Rabbi Aaron Levitt and is the proud mother of Shira, Rina, and Simcha.
